Kill a Mockingbird 9-11

I told Scout she better stop getting into fights. He almost got into a fight with Cecil today in school. Scout, Jem and I went over to Finch’s Landing, the place where my ancestors arrived. My daughter, Scout does not like going over there because she hates some of her cousins and family. I told her that she has to put that aside and just to behave herself. She didn’t listen to me and got into a fight with Francis. Scout said that she called me a name. I keep trying to tell her that fighting is not the way to solve her problems.

Jem and Scout do not like my old age. I personally do not think that I am very old at all. They are comparing me to other children’s parents. I believe that I proved to them that I still have my youth today when the dog appears. Cal called me while at work to tell me that there was a rapid dog walking down the street. I and Mr. Tate went out and I shot the dog. Jem kept saying my name and then saying nothing. I think that is because he does not believe that I shot that dog. The following day Jem got a baton and hit all of Mrs. Dubose flowers. For his punishment he had to read to her. He was very mad at me that he had to do that. Shortly after, she sadly died. I had to tell the kids that she was a morphine addict

Why scout taught me a lesson in kids when she was at the landing Atticus. And from you i learned not to lie. I heard what happened to the dog, I guess everybody knows now bout ol one shot. As for miss dubose its a shame.

  2. I'm really sorry, dad. When people say mean things about you it gets me frustrated. I just couldn't control myself when i fought Cecil and Francis. I hate going to Finch's Landing cause Aunt Alexandra always says stuff about the way I look, and I don't care what she thinks 'bout me. I guess it was wrong what Jem did, but I understand, you should of heard the things she was sayin', it was terrible. Reading was creepy, and her addiction and dying was sad.
