1. I believe that the theme that is most prevalent though this chapter would be innocence. Scout says things and does some things that she does not even understand. When Scout saw all of the people coming and going to talk at Atticus he did not understand. He did not understand why the people were going over to Atticus. He also went up to Mr. Cunningham and told him to say hey to his son. This caught him off guard and then they left. This is a great example of how Scout has innocence.
2. In this chapter is shows the bravery of Atticus. He does not do anything irrational when the cars pull up and all the guys get out. He stayed calm during the whole time. This goes with the theme of bravery. He has the courage to stand out while he out number but many other guys. In this chapter is shows that the Cunninghams are very prejudge and were gonna try to hang Tom Robinson. He was also afraid to do anything in front of Scout and Jem because that is when he left. He was afraid that they would see something they should not.
